A COPY OF THE TONEX SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED TO USE THESE PRESETS
This tone model bundle is a collection of tones based off a Marshall 2555x Silver Jubilee amplifier. This bundle is a set of captures based off my favorite settings on the amp meticulously captured both direct and through a 12” Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker.
This bundles tone models model an array of different gain and channel settings. The bundle includes 15 amp/cab tone models (amp > mic > mic pre) and 6 direct tone models (which include a custom “baked in” IR based off the previously mentioned speaker) all at various gain levels and settings through the previously mentioned speaker. The naming convention for the tone presets are, for example, as follows:
JS – Brit Silver (DI) Ult xxxx x (B or D) or JS – Brit Slvr 2 xxxx x
The xxxx signifies the overall level of gain in the tone model from Clean to Push to OD. The single “x” signifies the level of gain within the previous mentioned overall level of gain. For the OD tone models there will also be a “B” or “D” in the name which signifies “Bright” or “Dark” signifying the overall eq structure of the tone model. All of the Direct tone models will contain the letters “DI” in the name.
1. Clean – Amp set to as clean as it can be on Ch. 1.
2. Push 1 – This is a pushed to breakup amp tone on Ch. 1.
3. Push 2 – This is a higher gain tone model in comparison to Push 1 on Ch. 1.
4. OD 1 (B) – First level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a brighter tone.
5. OD 1 (D) – First level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a darker tone.
6. OD 2 (B) – Second level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a brighter tone.
7. OD 2 (D) – Second level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a darker tone.
8. OD 3 (B) – Third level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a brighter tone.
9. OD 3 (D) – third level of gain on Ch. 2 set to a darker tone.
The tone models were recorded with a Beyer Dynamic M160 ribbon mic into a Cranborne Camden 500 preamp. The Brit Slvr 2 tone models were captured with a Royer R10 ribbon mic for an overall fatter tonality.
Feel free to use these captures and presets as starting points to dial in your own tones or use them as dialed in by default.
